Out of the frying pan onto the signs – new kpmf anti-graffiti film is too slippery for vandals

Kay Premium Marking Films believes it has come up with the most potent weapon yet in the war against the spray-can graffiti vandals: a water-clear over-laminating film that is too slippery for paints and inks to stick to it.

In fact, the key constituent of K20209 AntiGraf self-adhesive film, an inert fluoropolymer, is the same chemical used in the manufacture of non-slip saucepans and is listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the world’s most slippery substance.

Paint or ink, sprayed or scrawled on to it essentially just “float” on its surface, like fat or food to a non-stick frying pan. A quick wipe with an everyday spirit-based solvent – and without any undue elbow grease – removes all traces.

Supplied on the roll in a width of 1.22 metres, K20209 AntiGraf film is ultra-thin, at 50 microns, and has a semi-matt surface finish and glass-clear acrylic adhesive. So when applied to signs, posters or light boxes – or over vehicle graphics – it forms a protective, UV-resistant skin which is completely invisible to the vandal’s eye.
